Severe or worsening toothache, a tooth that has been knocked out or badly broken, a crown or filling that has come out and is causing pain, facial swelling, or uncontrolled bleeding after an injury all warrant a same-day call — do not wait for a routine appointment slot.
If a tooth has been fully knocked out, try to keep it in milk or held gently in place in the socket, and call us immediately — the chances of saving the tooth drop quickly with time, often within the hour.
For milder issues — a small chip with no pain, mild sensitivity, a lost filling with no discomfort — call during opening hours and we will fit you in as soon as possible, though it may not need to be treated the same day.

I've knocked out a tooth — what do I do before I get to the clinic?
Handle the tooth by the crown (the white part), not the root. If possible, place it back in the socket, or keep it in a container of milk if that is not possible. Call us immediately — treatment within the first hour gives the best chance of saving the tooth.
What if it happens outside your opening hours?
Call the clinic number — if we cannot take the call outside hours, follow any voicemail instructions or, for severe swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, go to the nearest hospital emergency department, as this can indicate a serious infection.
